From 1978 up to 1992 I created pictures from composite photographic materials (magazines etc.) only using scissors and glue. At first sight visitors of exhibitions regarded the pictures as paintings.

At that time I was not interested in producing typical collages (fragmentarily, adversative) - I really tried to "paint" with paper. Later on progressing computer technology caught up with me. Retrospectively, I feel, my whole work was a kind of anticipation.
